Is Tarot Reading Real?

People often ask this, usually followed by, “Are Tarot readings accurate?”And my answer, after so many years of practice, is a resounding yes to both.

I still remember the early days, sitting across from my Tarot Master, nervously wondering what would happen if a client ever looked at me blankly and said, “That made no sense.” I asked him directly, and he gave me a mysterious little smile that I didn’t fully understand at the time. But I do now.

I spent the first year or so half-expecting someone to say exactly that - to tell me the reading didn’t resonate. I even had my response ready: refund them, no hard feelings, and explain that Tarot isn’t an exact science.

But here’s the thing - In all these years, it has never happened. Not once.

So, what’s going on? Am I some kind of supernatural being? Well… yes. And no.

Yes, because I can tune in to the shared energy field we’re all part of, what Carl Jung might call the “collective unconscious.” And no, because anyone with the will and commitment to practice can learn to connect and read meaningfully. Tarot isn’t about predicting lotto numbers; it’s about insight, empowerment, and soul evolution.

What’s a 3-card Tarot spread?

This is the style I most often use during my TikTok Lives. It’s quick and revealing.

Whether someone wants a general snapshot of where they are in life or has a burning question, a simple three-card spread often gives just what’s needed: insight, clarity, and a gentle nudge from the universe.

Single card readings and yes or no cards are all very well, but the answer can be too blunt, it’s like – and then what? I don’t feel I can leave anyone with that, just because they may not have the ability to pay me. So, a “free one card reading yes or no” rarely happens on my watch!

Is Tarot for Fortune telling?

The best psychics understand that whilst Tarot can show you possible outcomes, hence their reputation as future tellers, your destiny isn’t written in stone. You have free will. You can change course at any moment.

There are, however, certain fixed points of Fate - moments or experiences you may have chosen before coming into this life. These rarely change, but the how, when, and what you learn from them is entirely in your hands. Tarot doesn’t lock you into a future, it helps you shape one that feels aligned.

What About Free Readings, Angel Cards, and other oracles?

There are a lot of automated free “readings” out there. Some may be fun, but most are shallow, impersonal, and often built to sell you something else. When a real human being offers a free reading, it’s a different story.

I do short, free readings on TikTok Live, prioritising followers. It helps you, and it helps me stay connected to the energy of service. The more followers I have, the more TikTok allows me to do for you. The wonderful and often moving feedback I receive shows me that even brief encounters can have deep impact.

As for Angel cards, oracle decks and other types of life assistance cards: they absolutely can work especially in the hands of a skilled intuitive. But Tarot is different. It is ancient, its wisdom honed and passed down since the dawn of humanity. It’s a symbolic system drawn from archetypes, spiritual wisdom, and the full spectrum of human experience. It covers love, grief, joy, transformation, spiritual growth, and the mundane parts of life too.

For me, Tarot is the clearest mirror we have for the journey of the soul as it passes through physical lifetimes.

Final Thoughts

Whether I’m reading with a full deck, a handful of pebbles from the beach, or just pure intuition, the message always finds its way. But I return to Tarot again and again because it’s a trusted tool honed over all the ages of humankind by distant ancestors in contact with their higher selves. It helps me clarify what I already sense.

So yes, Tarot readings are accurate, but not because they predict a fixed future, reflecting what’s going on for you and supporting your power to choose your path.
